The devs have to recode to work with the speaker and mic in the iPhone. Form what I understand this is not as easy as you think it is. I understand Voip is much cheaper but I don't see this in the near future do to the fact the iPhone is well... a phone.

If the external mic was used with an iPhone, would the software work?

Would it work with a BT headset and iPhone?

Has anyone tried it?

wait.. so the internal speaker of the iphone will not work and you'd still have to buy in the plug-in one for it towork with this?

Yeah, but this would allow heavy daytime users to lower their phone bills by not going over their minutes..

Looks like he edited /etc/hosts to redirect freephonie (or whatever the address is) to another IP (presumably the IP of your SIP provider?).

has anyone successfully changed the SIP Voip provider? cuz fring is good but we need an app that is specifically for SIP and connects directly to the SIP network. less lag and it has a keypad in case you need to enter keys for prompts.

I beleive there is a different version of Siphon in the installer. There is no need to edit host file. I have just put sip.voiparound.com as the server for freecall.com, then username and pass and I was able to call and hear people. but people didn't hear me. can anybody tell me what is wrong with this app that I can't use in on my iphone????
