The devs have to recode to work with the speaker and mic in the iPhone. Form what I understand this is not as easy as you think it is. I understand Voip is much cheaper but I don't see this in the near future do to the fact the iPhone is well... a phone.

If the external mic was used with an iPhone, would the software work?
Would it work with a BT headset and iPhone?
Has anyone tried it?

wait.. so the internal speaker of the iphone will not work and you'd still have to buy in the plug-in one for it towork with this?

yeah the site says that the iphone still needs "hacking" for the mic to work.
weird.
i guess its not going to be as easy as vnotes"I accidentally upgraded my firmware.....again..."

How to use siphon with any SIP Provider on iphone
siphon by touchmod obviously works on the iphone to give true voip but it is locked to a french provide "free". I came across this video teaching how to get siphon working with any sip provider. But I cannot see clearly nor understand what the guy is doing step by step. Can anyone help ?

has anyone successfully changed the SIP Voip provider? cuz fring is good but we need an app that is specifically for SIP and connects directly to the SIP network. less lag and it has a keypad in case you need to enter keys for prompts.

I beleive there is a different version of Siphon in the installer. There is no need to edit host file. I have just put sip.voiparound.com as the server for freecall.com, then username and pass and I was able to call and hear people. but people didn't hear me. can anybody tell me what is wrong with this app that I can't use in on my iphone????
