If you are using WinSCP then just download my file(make sure it is saved with .plist at the end of the file name) then goto var/root/Library/Installer
Find my file you downloaded and drag and drop it in there. You don't have to edit the one already on your iPhone. I am not sure if that is what is causing your problem. Dragging and dropping it over makes it override the old one.

No problem for me. Lets keep it that way.

keep updating the installer.app...you can actually update it..thru the installer..then just hit your home key when completed..and u got a newer version... the latest is nice..has sounds and what not.

I'm glad to hear people like it. I guess I'll just keep pumping out these packages for you all.

is it possible to add installer.app to launcher.app? I just want one of the icons instead of both
09-01-2007, 09:09 PM #46
just use xLaumcher... And then hide the installer
09-01-2007, 09:17 PM #47
I don't like xlsumcher because it lists all the programs, and the fact that ut takes an extra step to actually launch an app. I am pretty sure i know what i want i just dont know how to do it

I can't imagine =not= using installer.app -- best thing that has came along so far.
09-04-2007, 01:34 AM #49Adding Sources
Does anyone know who to contact to get them to add Sources to their Community Sources list? I do realize that I can add the sources manually, but that's a LOT of typing on that on-screen keyboard! It would be much simpler if we could just send them the info and have them update their list.

I Want To Know What Each Application Does..the Installer Gives A Crappy Description...... I Dont Want To Install Them To Find Out. Is There Anywhere I Can Go?

http://iphone.exploit.org/pxl/ Some of the apps have better descriptions and some dont.
on a different note-I think that Installer.app shoud have a bubble in the corner telling you how many updates you have. just like SMS and mail (and phone)Sent From My iPhone

they really need to get rid of the sound effect for when you have updates available. the problem with it, is that it goes off, even when your phone is on vibrate! i was in the middle of class today, screwing around... and PING! yeah. not cool.

Anyone know if the newest version of installer wipes out usage time after installing something?
09-04-2007, 07:50 PM #54
wow..all i have to say is wow.
I was debating whether or not i wanted to mod my phone again since last time it messed up on me after i did the apple update. It's been like 2 weeks and already so many new apps.
Good thing I jail breaked this bad boy. Installer.app is freakin AWESOME! time to spend countless hours playing with my phone again. I hope it doesnt mess up on next firmware update.

installer app can I edit list
I have the installer.app installed but the list just keeps growing. I would like to remove things I know I will not be installing. Anyone know where that resource is kept ?I don't drink kool-Aid, I don't join cults.
This is why I break out in cold sweat going to Apple retail store.
