07-16-2008, 10:28 AM #1(Swirly) MMS - I'm clueless on MMS need some basic info
To the Certified Smart People:
Phone is 1 Gen, 1.1.4, carrier is T-Mobile USA.
Does Swirly MMS allow me to text to anyone who can receive a text or does the receiver also need Swirly MMS? If I send/receive with Swirly do I still get charged the $0.15 text fee?
Do I need to call T-Mobile and activate a MMS capability? I can text with the native SMS app without problems.
I installed Swirly MMS and could text to myself but not to anyone else. My wife has T-Mo's text plan but couldn't receive my text.

all u need is either unlimited text plan or be willing to pay per mms. talk with tmobile about prices n cost.
YOU need swirlymms to send/recieve. the people u send to have their own phones with mms apps to send/recieve.
don't "text" with swirly, use it to send picture messages. make sure you check the settings to make sure there correct.1.1.1>1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2>3.1>3.1.2 blackra1n'd

If your on tmobile in the USA good luck... currently there are a tone of us trying to figure out why swirly doesn't work on tmobile. when you save the message to your phone its all distorted. Hope you have better luck then the rest of us

Did you also install 'SonyEricsson W800i' from the SwirlyMMS Phone Faking source in installer? I don't know if that helps with the problem... but if you don't have it, maybe you should try installing it to see if it does help.
That's strange, I wonder why it's not working for some of you...
