How to tell which processes are running?

I just saw a post explaining that holding the Home button will exit and terminate the application instead of leaving it running in the background. Is there a way to view all current running applications (I tried 'top' in the terminal but it gives an error, so that doesn't really work). Thanks.

- Eli

Use the app "SysInfo". It is in installer under utilities. It will show all running processes.
