Deleting MAIL Account

Anyone know how to delete a mail account?? I have my Gmail account on the iPhone mail app and I want to sell my phone but I cant get my Gmail account to delete. When I use the delete account button it disapears the come right back everytime. I dont want someone who buys my phone to have access to my email account. Can any one help??

You have to SSH into the phone. Go to var/mobile/library and delete the Mail folder. You may have to delete the contents before you delete the folder but that will fix your problem.
