Low Diskspace Problem - NOT the usual.
Hello everyone,
I'd like to start off by saying that this is a wonderful community, and that I am honored to be part of it. IFilipino told me about it
So my problem:
I am running firmware 1.1.4 on an iPod Touch, and recently saw the post about how to make the Low Disk Space message disappear.
I started doing it, although when I get to the 3rd and 4th lines, it tells me "Permission Denied"
Please someone help! I am leaving the country tomorrow at noon, and want to fix this ASAP.
Thnx alot in adavance!
~ Ivel

2) Move your applications folder to the /private/var folder by typing the following:
mv /Applications /private/var/Applications
3) Change directory to / by typing
cd /
4) Create a symbolic link to the Applications folder's new location:
ln -s /private/var/Applications Applications
5) Type the following to get a directory list of /, so we can make sure the symbolic link was created correctly:
ls -la

Yeah as long as you don't run out of disk space.

You can use Boss Tool to move the Fonts and the Ringtones but I wouldn't recomment moving the Applications with it. I've read a lot of people had problems after moving the Apps.
