I was wondering, has it ever been brought up the idea to have the theme wallpaper change every time you manually lock the phone? So every time you unlock, the wallpaper is different? From the little I know about the iphone code side of things, it doesn't seem like an impossible thing to do.

Also, do animated gifs work correctly on the phone?

as far as animated gifs, they have very poor support in MobileSafari. and none have been spotted on the iPhone. Apple doesn't use them anywhere in the iPhone. Without starting from scratch, I doubt anyone will add them to anything.

I tried showPic on an animated gif, no animation.

Of course I could be wrong! I like animations and have been watching, but I've seen nothing.

PS animated pngs are an alternative for MobileSafari where large animated gifs, don't animate. http://jpassoc.com/x does animated pngs.
