Font Swap

need help with font sawp, if anyone has put this on their 1.1.4 please tell us how to do it, i downloaded the app and put it on my desktop, i have tried a # of things and it does not show up on the phone, please help...

i have the app on my desktop, then i tried to ssh and put it in my applications then restart the phone and it does not show up. how did you get it on yr phone?

I just SSH it normally, restarted the phone and start using it!

i have tried that a # of times and it doesn't show up on the phone for some reason, i have restored and tried again, but still nothing.

When you download and unzip fontswap, make sure that you are only putting in the folder with the app, not the folder with the folder of the app inside of it. To check, open the folder you are trying to add. If it has another folder inside that says "fontswap", only add that folder to the applications folder via ssh. Then, there is a chmod you need to do via terminal to make it work on 1.1.4. Just search the MMI forum for "fontswap chmod," and you should be able to find it.

ok, i unzipped it and the folder says fontswap.app i then open the folder and it has a folder that says file and then a program that says fontswap but i can't open that, i also have like 4 icon things in there and a plist file. what do i need to do?

SSH into the phone via Winscp. Then, remove the fontswap.app folder and place into the applications folder on the iphone. From there, you need to look for the chmod post in these forums, and input the commands through terminal.

i have done that again and again, and still nothing. i cant get the fontswap to even show up on the phone.

Anyone know why font swap wouldn't be changing my font? I've restarted, but can't figure out what else to do.

Set permissions on FontSwap (inside the FontSwap.app folder) to 6755, set all other files inside that folder to 755. Make sure the permissions on the FontSwap.app folder is also set to 755.

This is how I got mine working.

Also check that your iPhone Fonts folder and the Cache folder inside it also have permissions set to 755
