iPhone won't let me uninstall applications
Hey guys,
Lastnight I tried installing a couple of applications but for one of them I got a 'main script execution error'. Figured the install did not work.
I ended up resetting my iphone, and the application icon actually did show up on my home screen and 'seems' to work fine.
The main issue here right now is that when I go into installer in the uninstall tab, the application is not listed under the list of programs installed, and I have no way of uninstalling the application.
So first off, is there any fix to the 'main script execution error'? This is the third time I've seen it.
More importantly, how can I uninstall the application that I installed seeing as it's now not appearing in my uninstall list?
Thanks guys!!

Umm, search for the "main script execution error fix" using that little white box at the top that says search next to it... And make sure you have BSD Subsystems installed...
And to manually delete your apps, SSH into your iPhone and go to "/Applications" and delete the app from there.16GB iPhone 3G

Thanks Matt - LOL sorry I just saw that I did do a search for that, but after looking at the autocomplete when trying again I typed script execution uinstall .. lol .. returned no hits hehe
BTW, what does BSD Subsystems do?
And thank you for the tip on how to delete the app. Is the /application folder the only instance where application resources are stored?
Thank you guys!

Lol, well good to know you found your problem with that. I didn't want to be forced to flame you
. lol
BSD Subsystems is a set of commands used by installer and other applications for various tasks.
You wont even notice they're there... Just install them
It depends what app you installed. If you tell us I'll tell you if other files that must be deleted, but otherwise your right with just the app in /Applications.
Always make sure you always thank
