My iPod is DEAD thanks to MobileFinder!!!
OMG, what have I done!!!!!
I was using mobile finder to delete applications I'm not using anymore, and I think I deleted something that wasn't an application, but an important file...
Now the iPod is basically handicapped...
the "Photos" native app is gone...
All the applications don't work, because it seems the touch screen doesn't work... and it has problems locking...
what do I do!?!?
I CAN'T restore it!!! It took me weeks to install sources, and all those applications (5 pages!) I can't start from 0!!!!
PLEASE give me a backup of the files in mobilefinder, or please help me!!!!
I'M SCREWED!!!

we dont know what file you deleted so your best bet is to restore and start over... dont worry. Firmware 2.0 is coming soon and your apps wont work anymore anyways until they are rewritten for the new firmware

Why are you blaming MobileFinder for your stupidity?

Try looking in the trash in MobileFinder. Items deleted go there.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!
Strangely Mobile Finder was the only application still working...
I removed the two files that I deleted from there, and put them back where they belonged!
Now it works!!!!!
The only strange thing is that "Photos" and "Address book" are gone...
How do I restore them?

Mind telling us what files you deleted? Perhaps it'll stop other idiots from doing the same thing. Oh, and please don't blame MobileFinder for your own doings.
And wrong place, btw.If you like or found helpful anything I have said, please click that nice little Thanks button!

well, I deleted it from the application section...
technically those files weren't supposed to be there...
obvioulsy, seeing those strange names made me think they were junk applications, so I deleted them...
so yeah, it's MobileFinder's fault, for putting those files in the application section,
or, if they had to be there, for not making them protected and undeletable.

Okay, it is 100% your fault
1) MobileFinder didn't put it there; Apple or other programs did
2) MobileFinder only views files, it doesn't conjure them from nowhere and put it in the Applications folder
3) Those are legit programs: MobileSlideShow.app = part of Photos (from Apple), DemoApp.app = Demo app put on there by Apple, Terminal.app = a shell terminal that many people use.
AND FINALLY!
4) MobileFinder is not your MOMMY. It will not tell you what to delete and what not to delete. If you don't know if you should delete it or not, ask, or DON'T DELETE IT! Seriously, what do you think it is, Vista'a UAC? IF YOU AREN'T SURE WHAT IT IS, USE INSTALLER.APP TO UNINSTALL PROGRAMS!!!
/rant
Sorry about that, but sometimes, people's stupidity and their placing the blame on great apps that have no such fault on them really really REALLY annoys me.
and technically, THEY WERE.technically those files weren't supposed to be there...
Stupid idea. Oh look, here are some really really REALLY strange files in C:/Windows/System32.... Let's delete them!obvioulsy, seeing those strange names made me think they were junk applications, so I deleted them...

You obviously love Vista's UAC. Go drop $600 on Windows Vista Ultimate while you are at it please.or, if they had to be there, for not making them protected and undeletable. If you like or found helpful anything I have said, please click that nice little Thanks button!

Ok, ok, calm down, jeez...
Are you the creator of the application or something?
" Stupid idea. Oh look, here are some really really REALLY strange files in C:/Windows/System32.... Let's delete them!"
That's different... The folder I was in, only had applications and only 3 important files that LOOKED like applications since they had .app at the end, so it's logical to delete something you think is junk.
