How to keep yourself logged into aim all day?

Due to work issues I really need to be connected to AIM almost the whole day, depressing I know! But if I click the home button while in Chat or apollo it quits! Is there anyway of staying logged in when going to other apps? Would be great if there was an app with notifications outside the app itself!

or, log in to AIM on a computer, then select the option to be logged in when ur actually logged off, and it'll send all messages you recieve thruout the day to your phone via text lol
