The current version of Customize that I have for my 1.1.1 iPhone is 1.18, and it DOES hide icons.

But, be careful, it seems to have it backwards. Touching the middle of an item to scroll also hodes the item. For now, scroll with the left side.

You'll see a little eye beside each App. Clicking on the App or the eye will hide it (the eye will disappear). Clicking on the blank space after the App does nothing, so use that to scroll.

If I accidentally hide the Customize icon, how can I restore back?

Clean way:
use terminal and type /Applications/Customize.app/Customize

this should run it and then you can make changes.

Not so clean way
ssh into phone and type /Applications/Customize.app/Customize

Only way to exit this is to reboot.

ps. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR KEYBOARD WITH THIS VERSION. So far it makes it impossible to use any app that requires a keyboard and the only way to fix is a restore (that I have found).

On mine, clicking anywhere left of the middle of the screen (regardless if blank, or showing part of app name) causes the eye to toggle. Too easy to hide icons, I think.
