BOYCOTT Intelliscreen!!
Maker of Intelliscreen is now making people buy the App. $5 for a STRIPPED DOWN VERSION WTF!! or $20 for the full version or $50 if they want 6 months of BS support with it. This is also funny, the version for purchase messes up YouTube and does not have the option to turn off Email and SMS text preview.

Serious, how DARE developers assume they can get PAID for the hundreds of hours of work they do? Don't they know they are our SLAVES and EVERYTHING they do should be free for all of us all the time?

I'm thinking it's worth paying for because he's been so responsive to requests and quick with the bug fixes. In fact he made a special repo for me so I could test it on 1.1.1 to see if would work. All I did was ask and he had it up in a day.
This is an app I would pay for.

But after you introduce the app for free, why charge now? BTW, developers should definitely come together and charge on the app store, make their money there, but have the apps for free in Installer to support the people who actually have the balls to jailbreak/unlock/activate their phones...

Not so much "Why Charge Now?" But why charge so much?

$50? Oh. That is expensive. What's this extra support?

I have no money for any of the offers so, there's one less user. I like the app but...hell not that much. $50?! Ridiculous price. I do think however that this app is too good to go for free, i'd feel like i'm cheating the dev. or something
Please don't stop the music

plus $50 is not bad considering if that were working for a company doing this they would get paid a hell of a lot more.

yo this app is really one of the best out there and bringing that 50 bucks payment here is nonsense because thats with half year technical support which shouldnt interest anyone of you guys. cheapest version isnt that bad 5 bucks for good app is good fair price and if you need functions which are cut of in this version then u deserve to pay 20 bucks. (even tho i think 20 bucks for almost any app is too much and if devs asked for 10 they would eventually get more money then asking for 20)
<- just thinking out loud...

GTFO.
I don't ever buy apps, but I WILL buy this one. It's such a good app and has a developer that is very involved with what happens with the application and it's users. Any bugs/issues usually get resolved within a day. Speaking of, the YouTube bug that you mentioned has been fixed. That lasted about... gee less than a day.
You can't get good service like that anywhere anymore. $20 is more than enough for what this app and the dev offer. Either buy it or don't. Stop being a douche."Thanks" button. Learn it. Use it. Love it.

I'm glad to see folks aren't following this boycott nonsense. The developer of IntelliScreen has been working his tail off to deliver something truly great, and has been incredibly responsive.
$20 is a very fair price, and if you act before June 11, you can save $5 by using the coupon code "betatester", making it only $15.Last edited by DaveiPhone; 06-05-2008 at 09:07 PM.

If you like the app and can afford it then pay for it, if you dont leave it. But dont discourage other people from buying it. For me I can afford it but I am not buying it period.

$20 is a tad high... which is why I haven't bought it... or the Video Recorder... or Kate...
I HAVE bought Hidepode ($10)... iBlacklist ($8)... and iLog ($15) because I feel these are fair prices for the product.
