SSH help?

Hey, guys, this is my first thread, and i hope it's not too much of a n00b post.

First of all, I'm running XP Pro on my computer.
I've Successfully SSH'd into my ipod touch many times. My Mom wants tris on her iPhone, but she doesn't want the web app, or for me to jailbreak it. I was pretty sure i couldn't SSH into her iPhone if it wasnt jailbroken, but I wanted to make sure first. If anyone knows how to SSH without Jailbreaking, I'd appreciate if you'd let me know how. you can't without it being jailbroken.

basically, jailbreaking means to unlock the phones system partition which is where sshd should be installed.

Aha. well then, where do i put the app folders when i download em? just in the "<root>/applications" folder?

yes, but the phone must be jailbroken.
