disk still get full after using bosstool
i have a 1.1.4 iphone, unlock using iplus.
i've used bosstool right after unlock, and i had around 100mb left in the first partation after moving ringtones, fonts, and apps.
now, after using it for few weeks and install lots of apps, my first partation now only had 30mb left.
is anyone know why is this? isn't after bosstool all the apps install on the second partation? if so, wat data is fulling up my first partation??
how do i solve this and make more room for first partation?
Thanks

Using BossTool, how much space do you have left in each partition? Also, what big apps do you have installed?

after using bosstool i had 100mb left in first partation and 7.2gb on second partation.
isn't all the apps should install to second partation after using bosstool?
if so, then does it matter how big the apps are?
thanks

BossTools does not switch your apps to the Media partition. In order to do that you have to use a Terminal program to create a copy of all the apps to the media partition and then sym link it. You can also SSH it if you can't get a Terminal program to work.

Erm, yes it does, that's the whole point of the app. Just just buggy, I always had problems with it.
The best way to move your apps to the 2nd partition is by installing Cydia, it automatically transfers the apps over to the 2nd partition on install. Easiest method around, and you than have the better version of BSD Subsystem and you get Cydia, which is comparable to installer.
The source for cydia is: http://apptapp.saurik.com
Hope it helps

There is no way you have 7.2gb left in the other partition
In BossTool, go to the free space section, then where it says Disk Space, post that.
Right now I have: 104 MB free out 300 MB in / and 3532 MB free out of 7440 MB on /var

I could suggest it again. But install Cydia. It will make all the adjustment you need.

Haha, see, worked hey.
Click thanks?
Yeah, Cydia gets taking used to, but you don't have to use it, just continue using Installer normally. There are no clashes. Everything should work perfectly no matter which program you use to install packages.
I think installer should do this for you... It's kinda stupid that it don't...Last edited by MattMac; 05-12-2008 at 04:11 AM.
