dock disappered. please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

i wanted to go with with the clean look. so i had all my icons hidden so i can use the dock app to launch my apps. but after an hour the dock (yellow thing) disappers from the right hand corner. Now im unable to use anything. please help!!! how do i get the dock again. Is their any file i can edit to have my icons reappear.
