Is it just me or is pretty much every app now become a recent package?

If it is new or updated, it is recent.

Ste just updated the plist files for every package, to add an md5 hash of the package’s zip file. This will let Installer.app verify that no one has modified the file between the time ste created it and you install it. Just an added layer of security.
