    Default Problem with file permission help please

    Ok so when i try to change file permissions with squid or mobile finder the changes don't save. How to fix this problem? Im running on 1.1.4 and no i can't use any other program that needs wifi or edge...

    what did you jailbreak with? try restoring using itunes, then use iliberty to jailbreak..

    Hey dude,I had the same,and I decided to set permissions with WIN SCP,helped.

    just use bossprefs to edit them.

    or do it via winscp, click on the link on the sig about customize, you should be able to figure out the terminal commands to set the permissions correctly.

    The problem is you are running the finder programs as user mobile, without enough privileges to change permissions.

    You can SUID the programs to run as root and then change permissions with them.

    I use MobileTerminal to change permissions on MobileFinder to start with.
