Great News from iPhone Video Recorder, WOW

I really like this app but I just wish he would bring the price down to $10 and have a nicer layout and maybe tweak it so it encodes quicker then this thing would be perfect quality wise I am pretty happy with it its pretty good. I hope theres more updates coming soo its just not worth the $20 but who knows maybe soon time it will be.

I just bought this last night. Have to say its pretty freaking awesome. I mean it works. What more could you ask for? The encoding does take a while but its still really good. I like it. I should hae gotten it earlier!!

That's a shame cos I didn't really get on with that one. I couldn't play the mp4's on my phone (just said there saying loading for about 5 mins before i stopped it - it was only a 1mb file...)

Any others worth trying?

That's a bug in iphonevideorecorder that is intermittent, but annoying. It still works really well overall.

To get it to play, try just touching the black screen. Most of the time, it will start playing. If it doesn't, just quit the program and restart it. Then it will play fine (again, it may require you to touch the screen once).

Ok will try that. But I did touch the blank screen that when it came up with the loading screen (and with the play button) but it never finished loading.

So should I reboot and try again ??

One other thing I didn't really like with this app was after recording it took twice as long to encode than it did to record - is there a way to encode on the fly or is this a limiation of the phones processor?

No need to reboot the phone, just quit the application and relaunch.

As for the encoding time, unless they change the hardware, I believe any video recorder will have to do post-processing to achieve good quality. There is an option in Settings to do on-the- fly encoding, but at a big sacrifice in quality. This is just a limit of the current hardware. I find the results to be quite good for a phone-cam.

Hope the update is soon! My trial seems to have expired and I'm basing my purchase on squashed bugs and a refined interface
