SMS issue (fring issue?)

Since I've installed fring my SMS app is acting abnormally. when I receive a new SMS, I can see the text over my wallpaper, but if I try to reply to it or enter into the app from its icon I am sent to a blank SMS message and I don't see any of my SMS's, read or unread. Going back to home the SMS app will have the number of the messages I have received, but it won't show them. Moreover, at this point I cannot send SMS anymore. I have reset network settings and removed fring and it now works. But I'd like to keep fring. Any similar issue out there? Any suggestion? Thank you.

did you by chance install an sms timefix? a lot of those 'fixes' will cause that behavior.

No, i didn't. Meanwhile, I went to fring.com and checked out their forum. there's a thread that's dedicated to people having the same issue:

Hopefully it'll be addressed in the new beta/release.

Update: uninstalling and reinstalling Fring seems to have resolved the issue for the time being.

One more update: after two days of peaceful coexistence, my SMS messages have disappeared once again. Uninstalling Fring cures the problem.

Same problem here. It happened about 4 times already so I just uninstalled it.
