Mobile terminal fix?

hey guys, just had a quick question, i have installed mobile terminal to run some changes, and it lets me type in my login name, which should be root, then i hit enter and it asks for the password, but i cant type anything, any ideas? Thanks!

just type alpine or dottie and hit enter it should run fine but don't ask me why it doesn't show
