[GUIDE] Usefull Apps And How To Use Them

Hey!
some of the most usefull apps in my opinion are:
-Custumize/rSBT
-Installer
-SummerBoard
-MobileFinder (for more experienced users)
-Apollo
-iSwitcher
-Safari PXL Downloader

A few hints and description on the apps:

Customize/rSBT: pimps pretty much every thing on your iPhone...
How to use: Download the ''Customize image/sound packages'' found in your Intaller. These packs contain images or sound to user in Customize. The Images packs have Sliders, Carrier Logos, Wifi logos, and so it goes. The Sound packs have sound to you change for the Defaults ones, like SMS Sound, Lock/Unlock sound, and so it goes.. Customize User Interface is ULTRA-EASY..after download a image/sound pack, it autamaticly goes to your Customize app, where you can pimp you iPhone.
rSBT is now part of Customize. It allows you to change the order of your icons

Installer: the most essencial app for hacking and modding your Phone..
Intaller is currently on the 3.0b version..
THE FIRST THING TO DO WHEN RUNNING INSTALLER, IS INTALL ''COMUNITY SOURCES''(a pack of sources containing apps)
I'ts also prettyt simple to use. Select a category of app, read the discription and download it. After you download your App, the phone reboots, and it's ready. Stay tuned for new versions of your apps.

SummerBoard: VERY IMPORTANT TO DOWNLOAD >BEFORE< YOU INTALL TONS OF APPS.
SummerBoard allows you to verticly scroll your SpringBoard (the Home Screen). It also allows you to intall themes(icons, background..) (SummerBoard themes can be dowloaded via Installer).. it's very important to donwload SummberBoard BEFORE you intall other apps, because otherwise, they wouldn't fit the screen (without the scroll)

MobileFinder WARNING: FOR MORE EXPERIENCED USERS!
this app allows you to navigate on your iphone files. You can also modify them.WARNING: REQUIERS BSD SUBSYSTEM INTALLED(bsd subsystem can be downloaded via intaller)

Apollo: The best I.M (instant messenger) client for the iPhone..
You can use MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and other clients.
WARNING: REQUIERS BSD SUBSYSTEM INTALLED (bsd subsystem can be downloaded via intaller)

iSwitcher The first theme/icon switching iPhone app. (A SummerBoard-Alike app.) When you load your first theme, iSwitcher creates a backup of your existing icons and then creates an iSwitcher theme from your backup. If you load a theme you do not like simply choose another or press the "Restore iPhone" button or select the main screen in iSwitcher to restore your backup (made on the first run). iSwitcher Themes are available to download on Installer. iSwitcher is compatible with firmware 1.0.2 - 1.1.2.

Safari PXL Installer Allowds you to intall ANY PXL file via Safari.

I THINK THIS IS IT!
HOPE YOU ENJOY MY ''STARTER GUIDE''

all of these work except maybe iswitcher because I don't use it. I have customize and rSBT for the same thing. Maybe the PXL package download service doesn't work because I haven't found any PXL's through safari I wanted to download yet.

Thats what I thought too. But I dont have wifi connection and my edge isnt working. Everytime I open installer, it'd take forever trying to load and freeze. So I guess I'll just use ibrickr. Is there much of a different between installer and ibrickr? Thank you

hum...i guess there is a little diference.
First by the fact that Installer is a iPhone-based app, and iBrickr is a Windows-based program.

But anyway, i realy don't think you can install the community sources via iBrickr. I've never seen a PXL file for the sources, and I realy don't know where to place the file (if there is one).

And by the way, still on the Intaller/iBrickr difference issue, on iBrickr, you can navigate thru your iPhone files and mod them.

bye bye
