[terminal addon] Telnet for iPhone
I know there are some requests for this...so enjoy!
[credit to wickedpsyched for the port.]
This will allow you to cmdline telnet via terminal on your iPhone.
Here you go:

1. Unzip package
2. Use your favorite program and drop it into /bin
3. Fire up terminal and you can now use telnet

There is also now a telnet app on the Appstore. I think it is 3 bucks. Surprised the hell out of me that Apple allowed it.
