Permission won't hold?

Jailbroken and very much hacked 1.1.4, using Squid to change permission on xbox live application. When I change it from 644 to 755 and leave the program and try to open the app it crashes, then when I go back into squid it's set back to 644. It won't let me change the permission anybody else having this problem?
