MyWi 4.61.1 no longer tethering over wifi

Hi everyone,

As of about 2 weeks ago, my MyWi no longer tethers over wifi. The access point shows up, but when connecting to it, computers (or other iDevices) no longer get an IP, stays 169.254.x.x. OS is 4.3.3. Personal Hotspot, though, works fine, just is obv. less featured, so I would prefer to use MyWi. Obv. a legit purchased copy, as well.

Is this a common issue, or am I in the woods here?

Nice support for MyWi, 2 months and they still don't answer. I'm having the same thing on my iPad 2 with MyWi.

Yeah I'm not sure why they don't care. I shelled out 20 bucks for the software, I'd hope someone at least tells me to RTFM or something.

Just an update - I'm on 5.0 now and it's still happening. I can fix it in one of two ways:

- uninstall and reinstall MyWi
- reboot the iPhone

Try changing the "WiFi DHCP Network" under advanced wifi > wifi network
