I have been using MyWi since February and love it. In an update in the last month or so (it was a few updates back), something changed that broke one of the reasons I use MyWi. This may not be a bug, just a change in functionality. Maybe someone could help me to gain this functionality back.
Here is what I did... Tethered via WiFi to my old iPod touch in my car, and then used MusicControls Pro's "Remote Service" feature to control that iPod touch from my new iPhone. This basically turns the iPod touch into a standard iTunes library for use in the official Apple Remote app (that you normally use to control your computers iTunes from). MyWi use to make my iPhone think that it was on a WiFi network while it was providing tethering service, enabling me to use the Remote App on it (Remote App will not work if you are not on a WiFi network). Now with the newest version of MyWi, my iPhone no longer thinks it is on a WiFi network. Is there a way to re-enable this type of functionality, or was it simply a bug in the old version that I will not be able to exploit anymore?
And for those that are going to ask "Why in the hell would you want to do that anyways?".... Because it allowed me to remotely control my music in my car without having an AUX cable sticking out of my iPhone, and I can use MusicControls lockscreen swipe controls, which makes it easy to change songs while driving because I do not have to look down at the devices to find the little "Next Track" button.
