    Default WiWi OnDemand Problem

    Hello all.
I would like to use this OnDemand Tethering via Bluetooth with my iPhone and iPad.

    Some specs:
    iPhone has 3.1.3 version
    iPad has 3.2.2 version

Both have MyWi with OnDemand Purchase License installed and downloaded.

My problem is this. They are both paired and ready to work. It connects one time (iPad to iPhone), I can surf the net and everything. Then I put my iPad on standby, then resume again, it shows the tethering bar but doesnt actually connect. In the MyWi app it just says "Handshaking" and doesnt get further than that. Now if I were to restart my iphone it will then connect automatically upon bootup and works. But again, as soon as I put the iPad in standby mode and resume, it wants to connect, but doesnt and all it says is "Handshaking".

Is anyone else reporting problems? I tried with my fiances iPhone with version 4.1 and its working flawlessly.

    Any help would be great.

I'm having the same 'handshaking' problem, and I am very disappointed considering I just purchased a full license. It seems we are not the only ones as I have seen other threads on others sites detailing the same issue. Neither of my devices got past the 'handshaking' status when trying to setup a Bluetooth tether in MyWi. I was using the following configuration:

    AT&T iPhone 4 iOS 4.2.1 (HotSpot)
    WiFi iPad iOS 4.2.1 (Client)
    MyWi 4.50.21

If anyone has a solution, please let us know. If I find something helpful, I'll try to post back. In the meantime, is anyone else having this issue? If it's a widespread issue, perhaps we can pressure to the developer to post a fix.

Well I was busy last night. But I updated my iPhone 3.1.3 to 4.1 and jailbroke with limera1n. Reinstalled all my apps including mywi and all is good now. Connects instantly now and gets past handshaking. Don't know what the problem was but I simply updated just my iPhone.

Check and see if there is a update from Cydia for you yet. There was for mine the other day and said there was a fix for iPad UI?

This is one of the reasons I have put off upgrading to on demand, as it is not on demand till they fix it.

According to Intellisoft, there was an issue with OnDemand in 4.5.20 affecting 4.0 and 4.0.1 iOS users. They issued a fix in 4.5.21. I guess I will try that new version out when I get home. I'm not sure it will help though, since it reportedly only affects 4.0 and 4.0.1 iOS users. I have iOS 4.2.1 on both devices, but it's worth a shot.

Default Do you have to buy licenses for both devices for on demqnd

I bought miwi 4 for my iPhone 4 running 4.1. My iPad is not JB and on 4.21. I would JB it now but if I have to buy a second full license for 25 I won't bother. Thanks

You do not need to buy a license for any other devices you own. You can simply JB, then log in with whichever account you purchased mywi with then it is also registered.

this works form me for the handshaking problem:
    - deinstall mywi with cydia
    - using ifile delete:
    /var/library/addressbook/intellibornlicenses
    anyfile with "mywin" in /var/tmp
    reinstall mywi on demand
