Default mywi usb tethering question / help

MyWi is working great by turning itself into a 'hotspot' . I can see the network fine and connect to it.

However, I would like to connect via usb and tether that way, instead of over wireless.

    How can I do this?

I"m running 3.1.3 - is it possible to do on this

If you can do, how do you do it?

I have usb tether turned 'on' via the mywi, and on through the iphone menus.

It sill isn't working, is there another step?

I think you need to just use the MyWi Tethering USB and Bluetooth. No need to turn on the WiFi Tethering. Mine seems to work fine.

I also have the same problem. jailbroken phone running 3.1.3 and it will not connect via usb. Yes I toggled the USB-BLUETOOTH button under miwi. still never connects to the internet.

Supposedly on your computer you have to see a apple device show up in the NETWORK setting section of your computer, and then allow it to connect. Never seeing that.

Anybody get a answer to this question concerning USB and/or Bluetooth tethering. Kind of new to this stuff, just jailbroke my IPhone 3G 3.1.3 using spirit, installed MyWi/Rock. Haven't tried the wifi yet, would expect to mostly use USB.

Trying to tether to a MacBook - OS X 10.6. On the IPhone while not connected to laptop, I go into MyWi, turn USB/Bluetooth tethering on, go into Network Settings and verify internet tethering is on (this option only shows up when MyWi option is turned on), connect the IPhone to the laptop via USB, then Itunes wants to sync, and tethering ends up getting turned off on the Iphone.

I also tried Bluetooth with no luck. Any ideas?

Just a follow up to my inquiry, I did get it working. Can't tell you what fixed it, but I think it was due to the fact that I had not got the WiFi tethering working first. I decided to get that working which worked without issue, I have a feeling it must of perform some additional initialization.

After that I went back and got the bluetooth tethering working. Then moved on to USB, still couldn't get it to work, but then I turned auto-sync back on in itunes, couple of re-boots of Iphone and MacBook, and it started working.

    Default Try turning off Airport

I found when I was using MyWi with 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 if I had Airport on, the USB tethering would show, but I could not connect to the net.

I stumbled on the solution by accident.

I only use Airport to connect to my printer which is in a different room.
