    Default Android clients don't recognise MyWi hotspot

    Hi,

    MyWi works great on my iPhone 3GS (3.1.2). When using the WiFi Hotspot mode, I have no problems at all connecting with my Macbook and/or iPod touch.

    The only problem I have is that Android smartphones don't seem to recognise the wifi hotspot at all! It simply won't show up in their wifi connection screen (not even the SSID)! Is there any chance to get this to work? I didn't use WEP encryption.

    Finally found the reason by myself:
    MyWi uses ad-hoc network mode and Android smartphones simpy don't recognize them (at least Android 1.6).

    MyWi is really just an ad-hoc network
