WANTED: MyWi toggle for SBSettings!!!
can someone please create this??
i think it would be super usefull. I know they have a toggle out now for the default tethering, but as we all know MyWi is much better! I'd love to have a toggle for this please!!
anyone else agree?Last edited by stylin97; 12-29-2009 at 10:42 PM.

Yes indeed. I don't know which toggle I would have to give up to make room for it, but this would be a good one. If only SBSettings supported scrolling for more than 12 toggles....

Unfortunately, I don't know how to create a toggle, however I do know how MyWi is activated:
A dynamic library is added to mobile substrate and that is enabled by adding the following lines to
/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.MobileInternetSharing.plist:
<key>EnvironmentVariables</key>
<dict>
<key>DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES</key>
<string>/Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/MyWi.dylib</string>
</dict>
It can be manually disabled by removing these additions.
I have checked memory utilization, running processes, etc carefully.
Because it's a mobile substrate item, I do believe it is uses zero resources until enabled.Last edited by Mes; 04-07-2010 at 02:10 PM.

MyWi is my most used app just to turn it on/off. It would be extremely nice to do this from anywhere...

+5, thats me, my brother, two friends, and the GF. I've been looking for something like this for awhile. I'd even be willing to pay a buck for it.

Surprised the dev hasn't done this yet--it's a logical feature to add.

Bump this back up. I'm going to email the developer. I purchased this and my3g, and my3g has a toggle. The my3g toggle is nowhere near as useful as a mywi toggle would be!

Hey Guys - i agree it would be very useful. There's an issue with permissions and it was crashing SpringBoard. i'll take another look at it.

I was amazed when I could not find a toggle for MyWi on Cydia. Then even more amazed when I came across this post and realized it's because one does not exsist.
Here's a bump for a great suggestion!

I can't believe there isn't a MyWi toggle. Why is this taking so long? There are toggles for some of the most ridiculous things, and yet the number one reason people jailbreak is for tethering and there's no SBSettings support for the most popular tethering app! MyWi is even a featured Cydia app. I not only had to pay another 10 bucks for version 4, but they removed Bluetooth support which I used. Now I find out they didn't include an SBSettings toggle either. This is seriously unacceptable, there are donor-supported as well as free projects that have done more work than this team.
Support your customers or they will not stick around.

Bump. Now this is what I want. Would of thought it would of been included by now seeing as My3G has it.
