Default HELP: create a SHORTCUT to a video? - iPhone

I would like to create an icon on the home screen that would act as a shortcut to directly launch a video stored on my iphone... anyone has an idea how to do it?

I want to avoid opening the iPod app and then choose the video etc... I know where the video is stored on the iphone (I used SSH and found it in root/private/var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/Music/F42/ it is a .m4v file but could as well create another folder somewhere else just to store these video files as .mp4 or .mov...) and was thinking on two possible approaches, although they are only conceptual as I don't know anything about programing and code...:

    Approach 1:
if I create a shortcut through safari (chose any web address and did "Add to Home screen"), is it possible by modifying the "info.plist" file of the newly created icon (which would be in root/private/var/mobile/Library/WebClips/) to point towards my video instead of the url? would that work? have no idea which code to change though (I can post that .plist file if it helps)...
PROS: easy to create as many icon/shortcut as wanted...

    Approach 2:
I also have AVPlayer, but still, it is asking to browse for a file... is there a way to tell AVPlayer to directly open a certain video file, without having to go through the selection screen?
CONS: could only create 1 shortcut (being AVPlayer himself)

This is really important to me, so any help with this would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks

Why not use iTunes and add it to your camera roll. Go to the photos section for this.

if you use iFile (paid app) from cydia
it has an option to add to camera roll when you select videos.
Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I am looking to have several icons on the main screen that can act as a shortcut to directly launch some videos...

The background story is that I am doing a customized theme with Winterboard, with different background images for each different screens (5 or 6 screens that people can scroll through)... on each screen I want an icon, which if tapped will launch a specific video (the video will be about a story related to the background image of that specific screen...)

So the icon/shortcut has to be an integral part of each screen layout, and I need an icon for each different screen, reason why going through one other app to select the video will not do...

Thanks again for your suggestions though
    Any other?...

Did you come up with a solution for this? I want to do something similar for marketing promotions to make content directly available from the home screen without having to load the ipod app and then navigate into videos...

Sorry daynenash, apart from building a custom icon app (that a company priced at approx. $4,000...), I didn't find any other solution
I could suggest to investigate in the iPad, in the case you have simple presentation to do through the simplified keynote for iPad program, however after reading the reviews, it seems that only very simple presentations can be made, no fancy actions or playing simultaneously multiple movie clips, etc...
If anyone finds a solution though, please keep us updated.
