playing avi files in VLC4iphone

so i just SSH'd a video onto my iphone, but VLC4iphone is only giving me sound and no video...thought vlc could play most extensions and conversion wasn't required..any help would be appreciated!

VLC is really a smart multimedia player as it supports all kinds of formats. If you are getting only sound and can not see any video than try to update your VLC. If update is not possible in any ways then try reinstalling it.

So is VLC the best or rather the most stable video player for the iPhone?

I can play . Avi files on it right? Where do I SSH them to exactly? (using iFile)

also... Sorry to be a pain, but where are video files stored on the iPhone? I can find the music and the podcasts but not the videos that I imported with iTunes.
