Watch Live TV on iphone 3G runnin on 2.2

Question is very simple lol.

Was looking on youtube and alot of the videos were to do with Orb?
most of them said... well all of them said you need a tv tuner?

dont know what that is haha was wondering if i can watch tv on the iphone, dont matter if its local or international, just an idea that popped into my head after seeing my friends blackberry storm allowing him to watch tv.
