Victor H works for that company. SPAM! It costs money.

All three of his posts on MMi have been about the same program.

Go with one of the other reccomendations.

Just to start off the program I'll tell you about is not free. It cost 40 USD. With that said, A guy on here talked about iSkysoft DVD Ripper so I downloaded the trial version. Awesome. It will rip copyrighted DVD's to basicly any format you want. Again, it's not free but your gonna get what you pay for. Hope this helps someone.

Try out xvid4psp is free and working great. You can also add subtitle. Just choose MP4 iPhone as the format. Good luck.

I have to agree that Handbrake is one of the best free converters i have used. it sets your dvd to chapters for easy scanning as well as a fantasic picture and easy to use. all you do is pop the dvd in and open it with Handbrake hit the start button and walk away. only down fall to it is... it takes about 5 hours with a ppc mac, intel macs are much faster.
i just start them when i leave for work and when i get home they are ready for my iPhone.

I have tried the video converter victor h recommended.
it works great on my laptop.
i convert a one-hour avi video to mp4. the whole process takes about 20 mins.
however, i am not going to pay for it, since i have Nero installed on my PC.

    Do you use Mac OS?
If so, you can go to http://mactheripper.tumblr.com , where I got a pretty good DVD ripper for Mac.
Unlike most of DVD ripper programs, it is even able to rip copyright protected DVD's.
Maybe you can have a try.

not all DVD’s are supported by HandBrake. Those with protection methods other than CSS are not supported and must be handled externally with third-party software.
