ModMyi.com is all new! Not too long ago, we changed domains (for the last time, I promise

) to ModMyi.com, and with that came an expansion to cover all Apple products. As we've continued to grow so fast (from conception to nearly 350,000 members in a little over a year!), our community has quickly become a world-renowned one. Our site was long past due for an overhaul.

We've spent the last couple months working on a new site for you, and are proud to announce its live! There's still a few little tweaks here and there to do which we'll clean up over the next day or two, but we thought we'd let you guys start enjoying it now. Make yourself at home: we think you'll like it. We've also got a great new home page which is much more news-like.

As with any major site work - this is still beta. We know there's bugs and kinks to work out, so please, if you have suggestions/bug reports, drop by the site suggestions forum and let us know. We'll be watching it carefully to make changes. Of course, the next few hours... I'm going to sleep.

Thank you guys for making this the premier Apple and iPhone community!

Be sure and clear your browser cache if you're experiencing any issues - some browsers may hold on to the old images, etc - but from here on out its in with the new.

The site looks GREAT! I'll admit, I wasn't a big fan of the way it looked before - I thought it was cluttered and too busy. This looks much slicker and more organized. Nice choice of colour scheme to! My hat is off to you guys for creating such a nice community for Apple fans to come to!

It's all nice, especially the ad banner in the website header. But, I have a favor to ask. Could it possibly be a bit larger, it seems to get lost up there.

i agree from a design point of view modmyi at the top left could be a little bigger. The justification is fine just fill up some extra space so it is balanced. otherwise i totally dig the new layout. Have you thought about creating a chat applet? Kind of like facebook? The community is growing so quickly. I think it would be a great way to get instant help or to just kick it and chat with other iphone owners

One little thing P_F... (and this might just be me)

I think the little strip that divides the news articles (you know, the one that says the amount of replies, views, etc.) should be a little bit darker. When I scroll down the news quickly, everything seems to blend together because the colour is very close to the background colour of the site.

Yah, agreed. Its optimized for 1024x768 with an aim to be able to please at large res as well (I use a 23" Cinema Display and it looks great). So there's a balance, but yah, I think the logo should be a bit larger.
