Enable Battery Percentage on iPod Touch 4g Running iOS 5.1.1 jailbroken
Enable Battery Percentage on iPod Touch 4g Running iOS 5.1.1
1-First step is to install iFile on your iPhone / iPod Touch. Install iFile 1.6.1-3 (also update mobilesubstrate(suarik))
Open "iFile" and and go to "root" directory. Tab on top left corner of your screen, it will take you root (/) directory.

2-Go to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app and look for N81AP.plist file.





3-Once you open N81AP.plist file, your going to have to search the phrase codes ipod <key>gamekit</key>
<true/>
edit and you give below the code you searched you copy the following code <key>gas-gauge-battery</key>
<true/>
exactly as written, then do so saved and give the ok button.

4-you give restart or respring the ipod, then you go to Settings / General / Usage / Battery Percentage and enjoy!.

If you jailbroke with redsnow you can enable battery percentage by just going to settings and enable it under general and about.
No other app needed or you don't have to go this

I did this posting with absinthe that you can not get battery percentage and that was before he left the redsnow version to jailbreak the 5.1.1 version of ios enjoy it

You don't even have to jailbreak to do this, all you have to do is enter settings>general>usage and scroll down and find battery percentage. Enable and enjoy.
