Windows jailbreak cinject GUI
I built a GUI for cinject.
Didn't had enough time for making it perfect, but I did get it to work.

Does this really work?

As I already said, I tested it before releasing.
But since I didn't had much time to test it on different computers, I can't give 100% it'll work on yours.
But it's 100% safe to try.

I downloaded it, and tried it on my iPad 2, and it keeps telling me that I have a VPN configuration error when I try to toggle VPN as the directions say. Am I doing something wrong?
Edit: To note, when I check the VPN settings, the Server IP is pointing to my home ip (127.0.0.1), I don't know if that is the problem, but I figured it was worth mentioning.Last edited by skedog; 01-21-2012 at 11:21 AM.

It should give you that message.
Try to toggle it a few times until your device will reboot.
And don't click "Finish" until your device rebooted.

I have tried toggling the VPN setting 5 times in a row, and I get that same error message every time, and it never reboots. Any suggestions?

5.0. I have tried both the command line now, and this, and neither are working for me.

Command line shouldn't be a problem. I tried cmd method first try & I got it.

Yep, I guess I will update my iPad, and see if that fixes it.
Yep, updated to 5.0.1, followed the simple command line options, and it worked perfectly. I am installing packages in cydia now.
Just for reference, here is a quick guide:
1) Make sure you are on 5.0.1
2) Download the command line tool from: https://sites.google.com/a/iphone-de...edirects=0&d=1
3) Move the downloaded folder to your base C:/
4) Open command prompt as an administrator (Use windows search for cmd, and right click, run as administrator)
5) type in the following commands:
cd C:/cinject_0.4.3
cinject -i payloads\jailbreak.mobileconfig (This step will take you in your settings.app and ask you to install a VPN network, accept it, and install it)
cinject -j payloads (This step actually installs the jailbreak/cydia)
6) You will now need to turn VPN on, and you will get an error saying something about a configuration error, this is normal
7) Wait a few seconds, and your device should reboot, and then you should now have Cydia installed.
8) Open Cydia, and it will tell you that it is preparing the file system, and then your device will respring, and you should be good to go. Open Cydia, and have fun.Last edited by skedog; 01-21-2012 at 12:49 PM.

I'm uploading a video for demonstrating how the GUI works in live.
And I didn't test on 5.0, so I have no idea.

Does the Cinject jailbreak work with the iPad 2, iOS 5.0.1?
Because WHATEVER method I try, I always get a popup error "the procedure entry point xmlTextReaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll" and on the cmd display, it reads "Couldn't load C
Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\MobileDe
vice.dll\(null)" (Checked both directories, and there is DEFINITELY a MobileDevice.dll file there...)
I have un-installed and reinstalled FULLY iTunes, tried restoring my iPad, twice, tried your GUI, tried booting in safe mode, EVERYTHING.
Also, when my iPad is hooked up via USB and iTunes is open, whenever I try and use your program or execute an cinject.exe command, it always shuts down iTunes (Version 10, by the way...)
Is there any fix for this? Thanks

What windows are you running, as it may be a compatibility issue.
And iTunes should shut down when you running cinject, that's fine.

Oh. Well, I'm using a laptop (Aspire 5735Z) running Windows Vista Home Basic. (You know, the one that DOESN'T have the funky see-through top bars?
that one.)
I know there are a TON of compatibility issues with it, but could that be it?...
And also, iTunes closes but nothing happens to my iPad. The only thing that happens is the error message I get...
