Hacking is a Cyber crime
Just as other things so sorry to say it yes.
Personally I think this whole thing is crossing the line on ModmyI
I think it was allowed so far because no one has realized that Siri uses Apple servers to work and that using them without permission ( the phones are using Apple software taken from a 4s copyrighted material) would be illegal at first............ I still can't see how its legal at the moment.

Wow... I can't believe some of the replies in this thread... Seriously guys?
Nooneimportant thanks for sharing this and congrats on getting this thing to work. As much as I'd love a Siri port, I can live without.
Regardless of what these negative people say I'm grateful that devs tried.
For anyone who needs this port that bad... Make one.

I agree with you +1
I really think at first the Devs who worked on this honestly did intend anything but once they got it working realized it may have crossed the legal line and I support that thought,
People have whined like this on ModMyI before nothing new
I know some people still don't agree with me, that's it illegal, but Apple has been known to take lesser issues and win in court
I think this would violate Apple at this point and if people were on their servers who were not supposed to be then they have a case.

I definitely agree... If anything if shows that these ports can be done. It's easier to be like hey you did it so give it to me and I understand that, but then your risking apple closing the loophole. This whole port is a game of cat and mouse with apple.. To all those who want the port, the pieces are out there, it's just a matter of putting them together.. And FYI I'm still working on getting the port working, so its not like I had It completed and going to bad to everyone else

Technically they possibly have committed a crime. The first step would be for Apple to issue a cease and desist order but, as they already have done, this is now pointless. If they continued or shared what the have done then Apple probably would prosecute.
Before anyone tries to compare this to the distribution of pwnage, I suggest they learn a little bit about the law before showing thir ignorance. He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

Apple will allow siri on iPhone 4 sooner or later but it will be at a cost but only after it's stopped being a iPhone 4s only item ie when they issue next iPhone
