New early upgrade fee?!

I found last year right before I bought my iPhone 4 that I was eligible for an early upgrade after only having my 3GS for only a year. it was bc my line was the main one and I was paying close to 300 bucks for all my lines. Well this year I just checked if I would be eligible again..I will be on Aug 2 but not for the 199 instead for 250 plus the 18 bucks for activation. I was wondering if anyone else noticed this change in price from last year?

The activation fee is for lines other than your main line. The main line normally doesn't have activation fee. Also that is correct on the upgrade fee. The early upgrade price is higher than the upgrade price. The early upgrade has always been 100$ more compared to the sign up or 2 year upgrade price.
