Why is this not on front page news?
http://www.iphonedownloadblog.com/20...vacy-concerns/
This seems like it should be in the iPhone news section. Wow this site is slacking it's all over apples site and many idevice blogs and sites. I'll make a write up if no one else will. How about a few less rumors and more actual news. Just thought the members should see/read this. Huge privacy concern here. Right?

I don't see why that would raise privacy concerns. It's a glitch. If someone is concerned about privacy issues to the point where a frozen pic after using face time makes them question privacy issues, then they shouldn't be using a smartphone. If this was to make it to the home screen, it would just be more useless info. However, if the article had a fix or actually an explanation for this random occurrence then it would helpful. Until then this is just a conspiracy theory.

This was all over the local news today; I was surprised to not find anything about it here.

Exactly my point. How is it not a privacy issue? These pics aren't stored in your camera roll or anyplace you can easily find so where do they come from and where do they go? I really haven't looked into it much but with the whole pandora etc stuff going on it's kinda scary. Look at iclassified or engadget about the pandora issue. This could be just as bad or worse, ya know? I know people are gonna say they haven't proof of anything with iOS and pandora but android is close enough and if you think they wouldn't/can't do the same with iOS you my friend are wrong.

It's not that it's just a frozen pic after using facetime, it's that the frozen pic is one that the user has never taken and isn't visibly stored on the phone anywhere as if the phone is taking random pictures without the users knowledge. That sounds like a legit privacy concern to me. Why is the phone taking random photos and where are these photos going and what are they being used for?

I respect your opinion, but to me its nothing different than when a program freezes. The FaceTime app obviously has a glitch. If it Is secretly taking pics, then I'm sure all FaceTime like apps are doing it as well. At the end of the day if someone is so concerned about privacy issues then they don't need a smart phone, or anything social orientated( Facebook, etc) for that matter.

Wow you have no clue do you? It is your opinion so I guess that's ok. I just don't want "secret" pictures of me and what I'm doing going to apple or anyone else. I'd hope you'd feel the same way. Who really knows what's being captured with the pictures ie... Gps coordinates, my user info or anything else. That's all my private business.

How is it equivalent to an app freezing? It's not flashing a picture of you from your current conversation....it's flashing an old random picture that you did NOT take. So lets say for instance someone is listening to their iPhone while in the bathroom....maybe theirs a naked picture of YOU that's going to flash on your next FaceTime.....pretty private, no?
