You can also have Apps from multiple accounts on the same iDevice. I have to deal with this anytime I update my sister or mothers iPhones as they somehow have set up like 5 different iTunes accounts between the two of them. All you have to do is sign into the accounts when installing/updating the apps and it works fine.

Again thanks.
I have no idea what plannet this bozo is on if he thinks putting an app i have paid for on my partners phone which i also paid for, is app piracy and steeling. Give your head a shake and read up a little on how to use itunes/iphones before trying to come across as tho you know it all.
EDIT: just noticed all the posts on page 2. Well done for eating humble pie. kudos for that, but maybe you should of checked this out BEFORE trying to tell others who, if they had been less knowledgable, may have belived you and went on to pay for apps more than once, leaving them out of pocket.Last edited by Sailor-girl; 03-13-2011 at 09:19 AM.

People post the best of their knowledge.
Until there are full and frank discussions it is often unclear what the facts are.
to get it wrong is OK.
To admit that you were wrong is great. It's how people learn.
Often people don't say what they think because they are scared of being wrong. That is far worse. He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

And thank you for your humble pie.
The only reason I DID not check this out as that when I bought my first Iphone that was the way the local AT&T customer service explained it to me so I had not reason to believe different.
As I have learned AT&T people are not really knowledgeable or at least the one I purchased my first iPhone from.

Stealing apps is pirating and cracking which is illegal under copyright reproduction and distribution. Any one caught using and or pirating apps will be fined a large amount of money. Talk and posting about pirating/cracked apps is in not condoned on the forum. Warning.

Read the thread again. The OP just wanted to know if he could share the apps he bought with his device and his wife's. He was not talking about stealing anything.

I realize I'm late to the conversation but nobodys really laid it all out so I just wanted to let you know how to do it.
Go into settings->store->sign out. Then sign into your wifes account, download what you want from the app store. This will link her account to your phone. If you want, sign back into your account after you are done. When apps are updated that were originally purchased on your wifes account, iTunes will just ask you to verify her password just like it would if they were on your account
This is no different than having one account for multiple users only it's much more work. Same 5 devices per account rule apply's here.Last edited by kraziebone; 04-02-2011 at 02:25 AM.
