Default $200 tablets.... Compared to Ipad

Yes yes people are not tech savvy at times.

Like this article, they have no idea what a reader is verses a Tablet

I bought a Barnes & Noble Nook Color tablet (for $190 plus tax from a temporary online promotion, down from the usual $250). And then I downloaded a very simple, perfectly legal software fix from the Internet that turned it into a fully functioning tablet running on Google's Android platform. The fix, known as a "rooting," unlocks Barnes & Noble's proprietary overlay. The instructions came via Ars Technica, a reputable site devoted to technology, and were pretty easy to follow.
The article is comparing Ipad and Nook, two different devices not truly in the same category.

Even though the article starts off like this:

It's hardly a perfect comparison—more on this below—but the tablet is perfect for what I want. I'm not talking about one of those junk tablets from a Chinese website, either.
    True as we know

the Headline is : Move Over, Apple! My Tablet Cost $200

(Made the headline a link to the original story)

    The author makes comments :
    Its slow
    Costs $250 ( not $200)
    It has no camera
it does not have an app store like Android and Apple

but hey it "Looks Like a tablet" so if it looks like a Duck its a Duck? Hardly, more like a sheep in Wolf's clothing.

I can see the appeal of kindle and the nook if all you pretty much want to do is read. It beats purchasing paperbacks and hardcovers. Why hack it if it is going to depreciate the functionality? Leave it as it is.

"If it doesn't run iOS and have the app store people don't give a damn if it hovers in mid air".

He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.
