Connect your device and grab the mobile terminal deb file, drop it on the Cydia icon reboot your device and there you go a working Mobile terminal

The version in Cydia crashes this version does not.

Guess its tough to know everything.

There's also an easier way: add yourcydiarepo.com's repository to Cydia and install the one from their repo.

I DL the other source and it did not crash and still works now.

I think there's a difference...........

Cydia terminal app DID not work it crashed even after reboot

The source I gave DID work does not crash

Just because they are the same version does not mean they are the same, if you understand there are at least 10 developers working on this project, this version from the source outside of Cydia

May be a different Version of same version ( I know, means that different developers from the cydia version)
Or the Cydia version may have been tampered with.

All I know is that the Cydia version crashed on my 3GS 4.1
and then when I tried it on 4.2.1 Iphone 4 it too crashed

so I just do not make crap up.

You all want to be quick to tell people they are wrong without any evidence.

For those who care install the deb file I have a link to if mobile terminal from cydia crashes on you.

If you install openSSH, you can SSH into your iPhone from your iPhone by using any of the SSH terminal apps in the App store simply by using 127.0.0.1 as the host.

There's more likely to be a version compatible with every iOS version increase than a dedicated jailbreak only shell.

Apart from I put mine on my Cydia source. Try it and it will work I tried it on my mates 3GS(4.1) my 4 (4.2.1) and my iPad (4.2.1) and it worked on every single one

I never said that the stock one on Cydia did work, I know it doesn't! But the one on my source does because I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago, from the same place you linked to and put it on Cydia. I know that that one works ( the 1 on my source ) because I've tested it on multiple firmwares and devices

I'm confused... SO whats the deal? If it was easy to know you posted it why Did I have to surf the net for it myself?

You and MMI need to work together on this stuff easy to know and find, and not just have it here, most solutions I know to Fix CYdia errors invlove Mobile terminal so it must be installed first before the problem with Cydia...............

Jeez lets work together not against each other, I don't want credit just help others........

@last1here i downloaded ur terminal and it works perfectly. my only complain is that it doesnt save gesture settings once you exit. ty anyways.. I can scroll up at last!!
