New iPhone hacking target: the Qualcomm GSM processor firmware

Researchers have found a way to hack into the firmware for Qualcomm and Infineon GSM radio processors, such as the GSM processor on the iPhone, which is separate from the CPU firmware. This opens new possibilities for unlocking the phone, but also raises security concerns:
