iPhone iKee virus.. spotted in Canada
Well this evening my old iPhone 3G (that i gave to my friend) got a call.. when she went to answer it, something was a bit odd. The picture was Rick Astley. Also when you open a folder you see his face and the words "ikee is never going to give you up" .. creepy.
Anyways she asked me about it and when i saw it i recognized that it was the ikee virus..
I dont know much about it, but i just wanted to let people know it is in Canada and it CAN happen to your iPhone! So be WARNED!
The only noticable effect of the virus is that it changes your background picture to Rick Astley when you get a call and as your folder background.
This iPhone has been fine in the past and has never encountered any virus of any kind. It has installed SSH and obviously the reason that it got the virus in the first place is because we didnt change the default password from ALPINE becuase i forgot..
So just a heads up, you might want to change your passwords if you people are SSHing into your iDevices becuase believe me, you all are very vulnerable for attack!

I got "Rick Rolled" from an animated wallpaper. It is on Cydia under the name Sexy girls. Can't believe that is ok'd from the rep. Lol!

This is nothing new. It was also know as the Rickroll virus and hit iPhones last year around Nov 2009. People, should always change the default password for both user accounts 'root' and 'mobile' on a jailbroken iPhone, iTouch or iPad. For instructions on how to do this, open Cydia and click on Root Password How-To under User Guides.
As for the animated wallpaper, there should be better checks for software in the main Cydia Repositories for malware and viruses.

Poor Rick. I think it is time for them to change it to Chuck Norris because who would feel bad about getting Chuck-Rolled? Your phone would then be able to take on any phone in the world and not break a sweat.

Yes it is curable with a simple restore but i still think it is a little bit to invading that someone can actually acess my phones files and me not know about it..! its all good now. Just make sure you people CHANGE your passwords.
Happy SSHing and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
