anyone with an iphone 4 help me

i just paid 575$ to get me an iphone 4 32gb off of craigslist he gave it to me everything was fine and now it is asking for a passcode i am guessing that he was being a **** and set it to ask after 5 hours of use or something cause all day it was working until i went to sleep and woke up is their any way i can get it off?

restore it if you dont know the passcode....no other way around it....hold power + home for 10 seconds, release power button continue holding home button until iTunes pops the message up that you're in DFU, then just restore it. It's that simple=)

Hopefully he left you the SIM card, because after you do a Restore your gonna need to activate it to get it past the connect to iTunes screen.

Maybe he just forgot he put the password on it. Will he not answer your calls?

Is it asking for voicemail password? If so, it should be your vm password.
