How to get the Unlimited Data Plan!

Ok, so this happened to two co-workers...

They didn't have an iPhone until about 2 days ago, they simply popped in their sim cards and didn't bother calling at&t about it, so they were getting data for $10/mo.

Today at&t switched them to an iPhone data plan... and not the 2gb capped one, they got the Unlimited $30 a month package!

So, the idea is, get an only crappy phone, call at&t, say you sold your iphone and to removed everything iphone on your line and give them the imei of the old crappy phone. wait a day or two and pop your sim back into your iphone, wait until they give you the unlimited data plan

i think its worth looking into. i remember that there was a T-Zones situation kind of like this. Or maybe completely different, but it is not far-fetched.

Anyone with data on their phone, other than Medianet, gets the unlimited plan when they switch to the iPhone, regardless of what phone they were using.
