iPhone OS 4.0 will support multitasking
Awesome, check it out...
Neowin.net - iPhone OS 4.0 will support multitasking
Everyone wanted it, all the comments have now shifted to people complaining it will kill the battery, like apple originally said.. hahaa
here is the actual source of it... sounds confirmed to me.

My question is: Which Jailbroken app did Apple "borrow from" this time?

Current complaint: "The iPhone doesn't have multi-tasking". Future Complaint: "Multitasking sucks b/c my battery only lasts half a day" (which is true if you currently run any messenger app in the background or listen to Pandora for 4 or 5 hours). It's a double edge sword and no matter what Apple does it won't please everyone.

I totally agree... give the customer the option to turn on multitasking with a pop-up warning about severely decreased battery life.

Mine does fine with multitasking. I use it all day at work. But I quess with what apps it's used with will determine the battery usage. No complaints here though.

Slacker Premium Radio + Navigon + Backgrounder + Kirkae + Phone charge = Best way to not get lost while driving (and no worries on battery life).
I'm not sure if the source can be trusted but it would be a long-awaited feature from Apple. If I helped you out, please use the Thanks button ------------------------->

There was also that rumor of a $999 iPad with a front-facing camera that was "concrete"... until the iPad was unveiled.

I wish there was a way to allow users to block rumor threads so the people who can't handle them can just wait for released information and not see them.

There are no references to it in the 3.2 SDK. If they are supporting multitasking in 4.0 then they are keeping it buttoned up until the 4.0 SDK
