    Default New Magellan Premium GPS Car Kit for iPhone / iPod Touch

    Magellan will be releasing a GPS car kit for the iPhone and iPod Touch for about $130 next month. While the Megaellan GPS car kit is a little pricey, it definitely beats the TomTom car kit in features and functionality. I found this on Amazon.com's website.

    Features

    * Built-in GPS receiver enhances performance
    * In-car charging
    * Secure, adjustable vehicle mounting
    * Noise-cancelling, hands-free speakerphone
    * Powerful, amplified speaker
    * Fits most hard shell cases or silicon skins
    * Enables iPod touch to use navigation or location-based applications
    * Works with any navigation or location-based app

    Compatibility

    iPhone 3G, 3GS (Requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later)
    iPod touch 2G, 3G

    What's in the Box
    Premium GPS Car Kit, Vehicle Mount, Adhesive Disc, Vehicle Power Adapter, Getting Started Guide

    Magellan car kit is definitely cool. I like that someone finally designed a car kit that will fit most hard and soft cases for the iPhone. As much as I like it, Magellan is making the same mistake that TomTom made, which is pricing it too high. If it was priced between $69 -$79, I would be interested. Not many people are going to purchase a GPS navigation app for $89 or $99 and then drop another $130. You would think Magellan would have learned from TomTom's mistake.

    I believe One1 is just making a joke about the price. He is recommending using Duct Tape for your iPhone mount, rather than paying $130.

    Or maybe I missed his joke altogether
