I've been running a home PBX based on
Asterisk for several years on a MacMini PPC.
Last weekend I decided to retire my PPC MacMini and move my PBX to a new Intel DG45FC mini-ITX motherboard running Linux CentOS 5.4 and the latest Asterix 1.6.1.8. I also decided to use my iPhone as a PBX trunk.
It worked!!!
I can now use any extension in my house to make and receive iPhone calls.
The iPhone is connected to the Asterisk PBX via bluetooth.
My setup:
Mobo Intel DG45FC mini-ITX.
D-Link USB DBT-120 bluetooth dongo.
Linux CentOS 5.4 (64 bits)
Asterisk 1.6.1.8 with asterisk-addons-1.6.1.1 (for chan_mobile)
iPhone 3G with firmware 3.0.0
